Fruity and riche, this Premier Cru Rosé, an original Côte des Blancs blend, is a well balanced rosé brut champagne neither sweet nor dry.
|15% Pinot Noir and 85% Chardonnay from the premier cru villages of Vertus and Bergères-lès-Vertus. Rosé cuvée is vinified through malolactic fermentation aged for at least 22 months in the cellars and another 6 months after disgorging.
60% of the blend comes from “solera” continuous reserve wine and 40% of the year’s wine. The cuvée Rosé is dosed at 12g/L, making it a Brut champagne.
When to drink
|A very pleasant aperitif champagne and a perfect companion for light, subtle salmon or scallop-based dishes or with red berry desserts such as a strawberry or raspberry tart.|
|Cuvée Rosé has a deep pink robe and fine, creamy foam. It has an intense nose of red berries, rose petals, wild peach and cherry with a few mineral notes. The mouth is fresh and tender, with a silky texture giving a lively, acidic finish in an atmosphere of black and redcurrants.|

Women pioneered the Colin Champagne vineyard, which is now run by brothers Richard and Romain Colin. The passion for vines and wine began with their grandmothers Geneviève Prieur and Marie Louise Radet who both inherited vines from their parents. But the family’s first winegrower dates back to 1829 with Constant Piéton, the great grandfather of Geneviève Prieur, Richard’s and Romain’s maternal grandmother.
The harvest, hand-picked when the grapes reach perfect maturity, is then taken to a traditional wooden Coquard press as well as a pneumatic press on the property. A few months in casks give the wines time to oxygenate slowly.
At Champagne Colin, the wines are aged on the lees for at least double the minimum time required and for more than 6 months after disgorgement. Each plot is vinified separately to allow each of our terroirs to fully express its character. Thanks to these traditional methods tending vines and crafting wines, Champagne Colin champagnes are marked by finesse and elegance, and typical of the Côte des Blancs’ greatest vineyards.
Most of the 10-hectare estate is planted with Chardonnay – the king of grape varieties in the Blanc de blancs area of Champagne, France – in the prestigious Côte des Blancs in Vertus, Bergères-les-Vertus and Cuis, classified as Premier Cru Champagne and in the Grand Cru villages of Cramant and Oiry. Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are grown in the village of Sézanne. The rest of the vineyard lies further away in Venteuil in the Marne Valley and in Dormans.
